Hanna Yaddor-Avni (on picture with husband Tzvi) was born in Poland to Holocaust survivors, spent her early childhood in Sweden and immigrated to Israel at the age of four.
Since receiving her B.A. degree in French culture from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in addition to music studies, she was news editor, translator and music reporter for the Israeli daily newspaper “Ma’ariv” and has been editing and translating books as well as writing articles for various publications in Israel.
Her children’s story, A Diary of a Cat, appeared in a serialized form in a leading children’s periodical. Following a two-year stay in New York, she has published a comprehensive Hebrew guide-book to New York City.
Her cooperation with her husband, composer Tzvi Avni, has produced the children’s musical legend The Three Legged Monster, which she has also narrated in live concerts.
Mrs. Hanna Yaddor-Avni passed away at age 59 on September 3rd, 2005. We miss her.
