Avni,
the 2001 laureate of the Israel Prize of Music,
is one of Israel's foremost composers whose works
have been performed worldwide.
A prominent lecturer and
professor of theory, composition and electronic
music, he is member of the faculty of the
Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and one of
the leading figures in Israel's music scene today.
